Sweet Caroline-one shot

Ok, this is a David Archuleta one shot. I'm not really liking it, but I'm gonna post it anyway:

"You're a fucking retard."

"Excuse Me?"

"How the hell did you forget that you had no gas in your car?" Samantha could not believe how stupid her best friend David was being. How does someone forget to put gas in their car?

"Look, we're down the street from my house, I'll go get my dad and he can give us a ride to the gas station." Samantha gave David a hard stare. She flicked a piece of her raven-colored hair out of her face and sighed.

"Well you can't leave me here alone," she said impatiently.

"I wasn't going to genius. Come on, lets go." David could not believe how his day was going. All he wanted to do was spend some time with Samantha before she went to Atlanta to spend the summer with her aunt and cousins. This would be the first summer that they would spend apart, and David wasn't sure if he could handle it. Samantha's aunt must have sensed it, because she told David that he could spend a week down there with them anytime during the summer.

"Are you mad at me?" They had been silently walking up the sidewalk towards David's house.

"Well, besides the fact that I think you're bipolar, no," said Samantha.

"I just wanted to spend some time with you before you left, that's all," said David in a quiet voice.

"I know Archie, its ok," Samantha said, putting an arm around his shoulder. They silently walked for a few more minutes before hearing a loud crack. Two seconds later, it began raining.

"Oh, freaking lovely!" David yelled, "Come on," he said, grabbing Samantha's hand. They ran the last block to David's house. As soon as they were in the safety of David's house, David spotted his dad standing in the living room. "Hey dad, can you give us a ride to the gas station?"

"Sorry son, I have a meeting with a potential client," David's dad replied hurriedly. He grabbed his keys and ran out the door. "Your mom and your sisters shoul be home in a couple of hours!" he shouted from outside. David shut the door and leaned against it.

"I'm sorry Sam, this isn't going as planned," he said apologetically.

"Its ok, we can just stay here and watch movies or something. As long as I'm with you, just staying in would be ok."

"Alright then. Well maybe we should dry off first," David added with a laugh...

Where it began,
I can't begin to knowin'
But then I know it's growing strong
Was in the spring
And spring became the summer
Who'd have believed you'd come along.

"Ok, dude, why the hell are we listening to Neil Diamond?" Both David and Samantha were standing in the middle of David's bedroom drying off.

"I don't know, I guess after years of my mom playing his stuff, he kind of grew on me," laughed David. Samantha was clad in nothing more than her bra and panties, and David was standing in the middle of the room in his boxers and socks.

"Geez, its cold in here," Samantha suddenly said. She walked over to David's bed and got underneath of his comforter. "Well?" she said questionigly to David.

"What?" he said staring at her.

"Are you gonna get in here too?" David hesitated before he got underneath the covers with Samantha. They lied in silence before David said "I'm really gonna miss you this summer."

Samantha sighed and turned to him. "I'm gonna miss you too. I mean, this is gonna be the first summer we spend apart. And I'm not really used to not being around you all of the time."

"I know. This summer is really gonna suck."

"Yeah. David, I want to remember this moment."

"Remember this moment? What are you, having a High School Musical 2 moment?" David laughed.

"No, you know what I mean," Samnatha laughed, "I want to be able to hold on to this while I'm in Atlanta this summer." Samantha looked down at David. Before she could stop herself, she kissed him. For a moment, David was shocked. But that shock quickly wore off as he pressed his lips to hers, returning the kiss.

Hands, touchin' hands

David began removing Samantha's undergarments. One by one, he threw them on the floor.

Reachin' out, touchin' me touchin' you

Samantha squirmed and moaned as she felt David's hands go to work beneath the blanket.

Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good

She could feel herself getting close before David stopped. He looked down at her, waiting for her approval. She nodded her head. David hesitated before he pushed inside of her. He began going at a slow pace, allowing Samantha to catch up to his thrusts.

Warm, touchin' warm
Reachin' out, touchin' me touchin' you

David held his breath, and quickened his thrusts. Samantha raked her nails down his back. A few minutes later, she felt herself release. David pushed into her a few more times before letting go. He rolled off of her and lied next to her panting. Samantha smiled at him before saying "Now that I'll definately remember."

"You better," David laughed before adding, "I really don't want you to leave."

"Well, my aunt did say that your could come down one week during the summer."

"I think might have to do that," David said with a wink. He cuddled up to Samantha. They could hear the radio still playing as they drifted off to sleep.

I've been inclined
To believe they never would
But now I, look at the night
And it don't seem so lonely
We fill it up with only two.
